What we do.

 At Yonah Mountain Farms we practice regenerative agriculture by raising multiple species of livestock utilizing planned rotational grazing.  The practices we put in place are intended to mimic nature to allow the natural ecosystem to thrive with diversity by promoting symbiotic relationships with holistic management. Livestock and wildlife naturally move throughout their environment to fresh forage and unsoiled ground.  Daily rotations allow our cattle to always have a fresh bite of well rested, perennial pasture, leaving their manure behind to feed the vitally important soil microbes.  The sheep or goats follow shortly after to utilize any forages the cattle leave behind preventing the need to sprat the pastures with herbicides.  The daily moves allow our livestock to flow through the pastures without the need for chemical de-wormers or antibiotics.   Our pasture raised laying hens are also rotated through the entire pasture dethatching and scratchin...
